TaxTrack Terms of Use

⚠ No Tax Advice. TaxTrack is a financial record-keeping and estimation tool. It does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. All tax estimates, sales tax threshold comparisons, NTOT tip calculations, and other financial calculations are based on the data you provide and current tax laws as we understand them. Tax results are estimates only and should not be relied upon for filing purposes. You should consult with a qualified tax professional before filing your taxes or making any tax-related decisions. By using TaxTrack, you acknowledge that the App is a data organization tool, not a substitute for professional tax advice.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the TaxTrack mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Natloc Tech ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

TaxTrack is a financial record-keeping tool designed to help self-employed individuals and small business owners:

Record and categorize income and expenses
Track business-use percentages for mixed-use expenses
View estimates of self-employment tax and federal income tax based on user-provided data
Compare recorded taxable sales against state economic nexus thresholds for informational purposes
Import transactions via CSV files (Uber, Stripe, PayPal, Etsy, and generic formats)
Sync bank transactions automatically through SimpleFIN (Pro feature)
Capture and digitize receipts using device camera (OCR feature)
Track inventory and material consumption
Generate reminders for quarterly estimated tax payments
Export data for personal record-keeping

The App does not file taxes, remit payments, or communicate with tax authorities on your behalf. All tax-related figures are estimates provided for informational and planning purposes only.

3. No Professional Advice

⚠ Important. TaxTrack is not a certified public accountant, tax attorney, enrolled agent, or financial advisor. The App does not provide any legal, tax, or accounting advice. The tax estimates, sales tax threshold comparisons, NTOT (No Tax on Tips) tip calculations, and other financial metrics generated by the App are based solely on the data you input and publicly available tax rate information. These figures may not reflect your actual tax liability. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your records and consulting with a qualified professional regarding your specific tax situation.

By using TaxTrack, you acknowledge and agree that:

All tax calculations are estimates and may contain errors or omissions
The App may not reflect the most current tax laws, regulations, or judicial interpretations
Sales tax threshold data is provided for reference only and does not constitute a determination of your obligation to collect or remit sales tax in any jurisdiction
NTOT (No Tax on Tips) tip calculations are based on the enacted federal "No Tax on Tips" provision (Working Families Tax Relief Act of 2025, applicable to tips received in tax years 2025 through 2027) and may be updated if subsequent legislation changes it
You should independently verify all calculations before relying on them for any purpose

Government information sources. Government tax rates, thresholds and deadlines referenced in the App come from official government sources. A complete list of every official source, including each state's official tax agency website, is available at https://taxtrack.web.app/tax-sources.html. TaxTrack is an independent app: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Internal Revenue Service, any state tax authority, or any other government entity, and does not represent any government agency.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accurate Data

You are responsible for ensuring that all data you enter into the App is accurate and complete. TaxTrack does not verify the accuracy of user-provided data.

4.2 Account Security

If you create an account (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In), you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication method. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.3 Compliance with Laws

You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, including tax laws and regulations.

4.4 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App's code
Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
Interfere with the App's operation or security features
Use the App to defraud any tax authority or financial institution
Knowingly enter false or misleading financial data

5. Data & Privacy

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information.

Key data handling practices:

Local-First: Your transaction data is stored primarily on your device. Cloud sync is optional and requires authentication.
Bank Sync (SimpleFIN): If you use Bank Sync, TaxTrack receives transaction history from your connected financial institution through SimpleFIN. TaxTrack never receives or stores your bank login credentials.
Receipt OCR: Receipt images are processed locally on your device where possible.
Data Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Delete Account.
Export: You can export your data at any time for personal record-keeping.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

6.1 Free Tier

TaxTrack offers a free tier with limited features. Certain features, including but not limited to Bank Sync, full Tax Estimator, quarterly reminders, sales tax threshold check, CSV import (certain categories), and Custom Export, require a Pro subscription.

6.2 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a 14-day free trial of Pro features. You will not be charged during the trial. When the trial ends, Pro features pause unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

6.3 Subscription Plans

Pro subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis. Prices may change from time to time. Existing subscribers who maintain an uninterrupted, continuously active subscription will continue to be billed at the price in effect when they first subscribed (including any early-supporter pricing). If a subscription lapses and is later resubscribed, the then-current price will apply.

6.4 Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

Subscriptions automatically renew until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings; after cancelling, you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies.

6.5 Referral & Invite Program

TaxTrack may offer a referral program through which you can invite friends to join the App. When a new user signs up using your invite code or link, referral rewards (such as additional Pro access) may be granted to you and the new user. The specific reward amounts, including the number of Pro days granted to each party and any applicable weekly limits, are displayed in the App's "Refer & Earn" screen and may be adjusted from time to time.

Rewards are promotional grants made at our sole discretion and do not create a right or entitlement.
Rewards are granted only for new, genuine accounts that comply with these Terms.
We may revoke rewards granted in connection with fake, duplicate, or abusive accounts.
We may modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App (including its code, design, branding, and content) are owned by Natloc Tech or its licensors.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or lease any part of the App without prior written permission.

9. User-Generated Content

You retain all ownership rights to the financial data and content you enter into the App. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit such content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.

You represent that your data is accurate and does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

⚠ THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Natloc Tech disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

No Fitness for a Particular Purpose: We do not warrant that the App will meet your specific tax, accounting, or financial needs.
No Accuracy Guarantee: We do not warrant that tax estimates, calculations, or other data are accurate, complete, or current.
No Uninterrupted Service: We do not warrant that the App will operate without interruption, errors, or downtime.
No Third-Party Guarantee: We are not responsible for the accuracy or timeliness of banking data obtained through SimpleFIN.

TaxTrack is not a substitute for professional accounting or tax preparation software.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Natloc Tech be liable for:

Indirect Damages: Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Tax-Related Losses: Any tax penalties, interest, or additional tax liability arising from your use of the App's estimates.
Data Loss: Any loss of your financial data. You are encouraged to maintain external backups.
Bank Sync Errors: Any inaccuracies or delays in bank transaction data obtained through SimpleFIN.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50.00 USD, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Natloc Tech from any claims arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable laws (including tax laws), or your reliance on the App's estimates.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Sections 3, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.

You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the App and your account.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Apple App Store: Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notification or email. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Apple App Store Additional Terms

The following terms apply when you download the App from the Apple App Store:

These Terms are between you and Natloc Tech only, not with Apple
Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App (if any)
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
